PUPPY CONTRACT

Definitions used herein include:

"BUYER" shall be defined as:                                                                                                                         

"BREEDER" shall be defined as: Melissa Webb

"PUPPY" shall be defined as English Mastiff born on . The litter is sired by and dam is .

The PUPPY embodies the characteristics of the English Mastiff breed. This PUPPY is purebred and the PUPPY's litter is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), United Kennel Club (UKC), Universal Kennel Club Incorporated (UKCI), and America's Pet Registry, Inc. (APRI). BREEDER will provide the forms for the puppy's individual registration.

The BREEDER guarantees the above described puppy to be healthy at the time of the sale. All appropriate vaccinations for the PUPPY's age have been given, and a record of this vaccination history is supplied. The BREEDER has done everything possible to produce healthy sound puppies both by breeding only purebred healthy dogs (parents) and by raising the puppies in the best way possible in regards to diet, exercise, socialization and veterinary care.

The BUYER agrees to maintain the puppy in a humane environment and properly train and care for it. Specifically the puppy will be properly licensed and inoculated against rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and other communicable diseases as recommended by a qualified veterinarian. The puppy will not be allowed to roam and will be socialized and trained appropriately. The BREEDERS strongly recommend permanent identification by microchip.

It is agreed between BREEDER and BUYER that this puppy is being acquired as a family companion, or to be bred, or to be used for tasks appropriate to the English Mastiff breed, or for exhibition in conformation, obedience, or agility competition.

The BUYER agrees that the puppy is not purchased for resale nor will it be used or trained for activities which are illegal. Specifically it will not be used as an attack dog or to fight other animals.

In the event of the emergence of a genetic defect that is not sufficiently serious in the opinion of two qualified veterinarians, one of whom is selected by the breeder, to warrant euthanization of the puppy, before the puppy is three years of age the BREEDER agrees to:
A. replace the puppy from the next litter bred by the breeder or, at the breeder's option,
B. if the owner chooses to keep the puppy, assist the owner in treating any medical problems that arise from a genetic defect. The breeder agrees to pay 50% of veterinary costs upon receipt of paid bills to veterinarian or veterinarian hospital/clinic up to the amount of original purchase price.

In the event of the emergence of any genetic defect which is sufficiently serious in the opinion of two qualified veterinarians, one of whom is selected by the breeder, to warrant euthanization of the puppy, before the puppy is three years of age the BREEDER agrees to:
A. replace the puppy from the next litter bred by the breeder or, at the breeder's option,
B. refund the original purchase price.

The BUYER agrees that if at any time the BUYER cannot take proper care of the puppy, the BUYER must contact the BREEDER and the BREEDER will have the first choice to either: (a) take the PUPPY back or (b) assist the BUYER in finding a suitable home for the PUPPY.

The BUYER agrees not to breed the female puppy until her third heat cycle or the age of two which will allow her to more fully develop.   The BUYER agrees not spay or neuter their puppy until they are at least nine months of age which allow the puppy to reach their size potential.

In consideration of a purchase price of $1,200.00, of which $300.00 is a non-refundable deposit, the breeder transfers all rights, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of a male/female dog of the English Mastiff breed to BUYER, upon delivery of the puppy.

The BUYER agrees to notify the BREEDER of any changes of address during the Puppy's lifetime.
