Petition City of Wildomar

Petition - You Can Help - By signing your name below and why you believe Oak Meadows Ranch should be able to continue sharing the rescued horses with the community and should not have to pay a $10,000 Conditional Use Permit to the City of Wildomar. Once you have filled out your name, the city and state you live in and your reason why it would be appreciated if you send us an email at bluepearlproject@gmail.com with your contact information.

Oak Meadows Ranch needs your help. The city of Wildomar has requested that Oak Meadows Ranch get what is called an Conditional Use Permit so Oak Meadows Ranch can continue to share the rescued, unwanted horses with the visitors and continue to allow visitors use of the property. The cost of this Conditional Use Permit may be as high as $10,000. With your help Oak Meadows Ranch from donations can continue to share the rescued, unwanted horses with the community such as with special needs children, special needs adults, senior citizens, children, teenagers and adults of all ages. Visitors will be able to still be able to groom, care and exercise horses and ride the rideable horses and for those that need to do community service with this Conditional Use Permit. Oak Meadows Ranch needs your help for all of this to continue in the future or the city of Wildomar may not allow visitors visiting the ranch if the Conditional Use Permit is not paid. These rescued, unwanted horses need your help, love and affection. Without our help many of these horses would be dead today. Many would have been slaughtered and used for food in other countries. You currently are hearing on the local news that many well known companies to us are using horse meat for food and serving it to people. Blue Pearl Project and Oak Meadows Ranch would appreciate if you spread the word that a donation of any kind, small or large would be greatly appreciated so that the Conditional Use Permit fee can be raised and be paid to the city of Wildomar so that the city of Wildomar will be happy and those that have and still do plan to visit the rescued, unwanted horses and use the facilities at Oak Meadows Ranch can.

Wildomar City Officials -

Please consider waiving the $10,000 Conditional Use Permit for Oak Meadows Ranch. With the economy being what it is, many horses are being left tied to trees and fences in our area and left to die. Many more are going to slaughter. Oak Meadows Ranch is an asset to the community. They provide a place for horses that might otherwise be put to death. They also provide children and adults that don't or can't afford to own a horse of their own a place to ride. The conditional use permit fee is extreme for this ranch that does so much!

Oak Meadows is a a positive influence for the children in the community. The lessons learned by children of all ages that visit this rescue are valuable life lessons. They learn respect for other living beings, compassion and to help those who cannot help themselves. Being around the caring dedicated people that run the rescue is priceless. My daughter was fortunate because we could afford horses of our own, the experience helped develop responsibility, self confidence and her amazing work ethic. She learned that hard work could be not only rewarding but it could be fun. Oak Meadows provides a chance for the children of the local communities to put down all their electrical entertainment, get outside and enjoy themselves and socialize with other children while learning something new. It would be a shame to loose this horse sanctuary with so much to offer the surrounding communities because of the bureaucratic rules and exorbitant fees that are being levied upon Oak Meadows. Most if not all of the horses rescued would have ended up at auction and sold for slaughter. Can we as a compassionate society really do this to these majestic animals, when they can provide positive life changing experiences for so many? Please help keep this safe haven operational and available for all to enjoy!

Wildomar--do the right thing and support this rescue. If done right, it could increase tourism to your area helping the economy. Wildomar, show your intelligence and make it a win win.

I would ask that the City of Wildomar reconsider and waive the $10,000 fee you are asking from Oak Meadows. The horse industry has been hard hit over the past few years with the declining economy. Horse Rescues like Oak Meadows are an asset to any city with horses, many horses would die needlessly without places like this. It is a beautiful facility, filled with people with knowledge and compassion for horses. They feed the animals with their own money and are providing a service that the City of Wildomar is not. The costs associated with owning horses is high, at approx. $150 per month for feed, hoof care, wormings, vet care to mention a few. People are letting their horses suffer needlessly because they don't have the money to care for them. Oak Meadows is not costing Wildomar a dime. Horses are our history, they got us to where we are today. Please reconsider and drop this issue with Oak Meadows and maybe you could even support what they are doing.

Oak Meadows Ranch has been a real blessing to our family. The ranch hosted a birthday party for one of my kids which was very memorable! The Blue Pearl Project is doing tremendous work for the rescued horses and the ranch is truly a fun getaway for both children and adults. Those that manage and run the ranch are incredibly dedicated and have sacrificed a lot to do what has been done so far. They are making a REAL difference in the lives of horses and people alike!

We NEED this place, it is a great asset to Wildomar. Stop bullying the little guys!!!

We need this place! The city provides no animal control services for equines. At least they are doing something positive for the community and have greatly improved the property. You should be supporting them, not tearing them down! I've personally never seen a more well run and compassionate horse rescue than Oak Meadows Ranch. Their commitment to the horses, the people that volunteer, and to the community, is the best thing Wildomar could want for a private ranch that shares it with the community. Not to mention they are non profit, so this is sad to see such a hefty permit required by the city for a non profit that is doing so much good. Please, city of Wildomar, reconsider this permit for Oak Meadows Ranch so that they can continue to bring more good to the city and people of Wildomar. Wildomar should be proud to have such a fine place in their city, and not be so money hungry that they ruin make it impossible for the rescue to be in existence!

Oak Meadows is a wonderful organization that helps not only the horses but people as well. It would be a shame if they were to close down. Think of all the horses that would have no where to go and the people who would be greatly affected by it.

To the city of Wildomar, this is very disappointing. Oak Meadows ranch is providing a service to the animals that you DO NOT provide for our community. I am shocked that Oak Meadows Ranch is not getting more support from the city. Paying a fee up to $10,000 is taking money from rescuing more horses. Have a heart for these poor helpless animals. They need your support.

We need more and more places like Oak Meadows Ranch. They are doing an amazing thing for animals and for the community. Oak Meadows is a beautiful place run by giving people with big hearts! It would be awful for Oak Meadows Ranch to be closed down. Where would all the horses go? What will I tell my daughter when we can't go back there to visit? When you are helping the community, like Oak Meadows Ranch is, money is always hard to come by when you're spending it to help others and animals. Who can afford $10,000 nowadays? Please lower the price to a reasonable rate so Oak Meadows Ranch can stay open. Oak Meadows Ranch is great for the community, children and horses of Wildomar. Wildomar and all of the surrounding areas need Oak Meadows Ranch!!! Its a great place to teach our children about how to volunteer, be giving and take care of hurt animals!

We need more places where horses can go to be safe, loved and places where humans can go to see their gentle nature, horses need humans and humans NEED horses.

to put such a high price on that is inhumane

We have a place here (Indiana) where the handy cap can go and learn how to ride for therapy it is GREAT for everyone (loveway)

Oak Meadows Ranch is doing a GREAT thing people need to be educated on the gentle giants so one day the cruelty will stop.

keep up the GREAT WORK OAK MEADOWS & Blue Pearl Project

Most projects need a conditional use permit. However some activities and their environment's are so connected with a region exceptions must be made or you loose your identity.

Maybe a use permit with special conditions at only 10% of the Published City Fee would be the right direction.

Shame on you city of Wildomar! This is a non-profit horse rescue. Why on Earth do they need to pay such an exorbitant fee? For doing God's work here?? We will have as many signatures as needed to protest this injustice. I will tell everyone I know to stop doing business in Wildomar, is that what you want? We will hit the pockets of this city until you do the right thing. Be grateful that this rescue is saving abused and unwanted horses in this economy.

Oak Meadows Ranch is doing a wonderful service to the horses and the community. They should not be punished and charged an outrageous fee. The City of Wildomar should be ashamed of their actions. Leave Oak Meadows Ranch alone and let them do their work.
