Coal (Horse Rescue)

Murrieta, California 3/1/12 - Our thanks to Amy Price for rescuing Coal from certain starvation and allowing Blue Pearl Project a Non Profit Organization to rehabilitate him. 4 weeks ago Coal was found in an abandoned barn with a wire hanger around his neck with no food or water. In the past 4 weeks Amy has fed him and he has been able to gain 80 pounds with her help with still another 100 pounds recommended by a vet for him to gain. Due to Amy’s fathers recent illness Amy has been unable to continue helping Coal so Amy contacted the Blue Pearl Project to continue his rehabilitation because no one else was interested in caring for him or to own him. We know call him Smokey Joe and him and our rescued Mustang Ariel are best friends.

Horse Rescue - Rescuing Coal 3/1/12 - Murrieta California - Blue Pearl Project

Our thanks to Amy Price for rescuing Coal from certain starvation and allowing Blue Pearl Project a Non Profit Organization to rehabilitate him. 4 weeks ago Coal was found in an abandoned barn with a wire hanger around his neck with no food or water. Who knows how long he had been there. In the past 4 weeks Amy has fed him and he has been able to gain 80 pounds with her help with still another 100 pounds recommended by a vet for him to gain. Due to Amy's fathers recent illness Amy has been unable to continue helping Coal so Amy contacted the Blue Pearl Project to continue his rehabilitation because no one else was interested in caring for him or to own him. Coal because of being abandoned in a dark barn has a fear of horse trailers so it was a little difficult to get him to go into the horse trailer. Coal is now being rehabilitated and living at Oak Meadows Ranch in Wildomar, California.
